From initial planning to unveiling, it took just a month and 4 days to complete our awesome #BlackLivesMatter mural in Utica. It was designed as a community quilt by myself and 3 other artists – Marques, Joshuwa and Dave – plus my childhood friend AJ working as project manager. The bottom two rows of squares were left for the community to join us to paint images and messages that were important to them.

The Berkshire Bank and United Way of the Mohawk Valley mural serve the purpose to uplift a public park system. Not being updated for years the old mural was pealing and had a lot of miscellaneous graffiti that wasn’t the best for kids to see. Once I was offered the job, I took it into consideration to make a mural that everyone would love.
Magic hour created and directed by Brad Carney, this opportunity was a summer internship for a six week period. Having my name in the city of murals (Philadelphia) meant to much and the skills and connections I gained will last a lifetime.
